MATH 350 Homework 02

  1. Describe two distributions: one Bernoulli (make up a probability pp appropriate to your random experiment) and one Uniform (make up bounds a,ba, b appropriately). No dice and no coins.
  2. Draw a plot of the density function for each distribution described.
  3. Describe, list, and/or write mathematically, all possible outcomes for each distribution described above.
  4. Imagine you performed the random experiment associated with each distribution 100 times; so you have 100 data from each distribution. Identify one number that is closest to all possible outcomes, or all 100 data, for each distribution. The number of interest does not have to be a number within the sample space, just within the range (less than the biggest number and bigger than the smallest number) of your sample-space/data.
