MATH 456 Homework 01

  1. Install RStudio Desktop.

  2. Install Quarto.

  3. Install git.

  4. If you don't already have one, create a GitHub account. I encourage you to pick a username that you won't be embarassed to show a future boss.

  5. Set up SSH keys for GitHub.

  6. Share with me your GitHub username, so that I can connect your Homeworks with your student username. Please fill out this Google form.

  7. Open RStudio.

  8. Follow the Tutorial: Hello, Quarto.

  9. Create a quarto document. Delete the boilerplate that makes up the new quarto document template; in fact, you should do this everytime you create a new quarto document. Make your quarto document obviously unique to you. This means you'll have to make changes from the document you create in the tutorial. It should upon rendering, compile with no errors and output to an HTML file.

  10. On Thursday, I'll show you how to submit files with git.
