  1. Download the following dataset into your Homework 02 repository: donkeys. Here's the metadata.

  2. Make a box plot of with Sex on the x-axis and Weight on the y-axis.

  3. What do you expect an ANOVA test to conclude based on the plot above?

  4. Write the null and alterative hypotheses for ANOVA to compare the mean weights of donkeys by sex. Pick a level of significance.

  5. Produce an ANOVA table for your hypotheses above.

  6. Write down the fitted regression equation for the model above.

  7. Compare the p-value to the level of significance and make a conclusion.

  8. Interpret your conclusion in context of the data.

  9. Make a scatter plot of each level's mean on the y-axis and Sex on the x-axis. Add 95% confidence intervals for each level to your plot.

  10. Display the means, standard errors, and lower and upper confidence intervals for each level of Sex. If you calcualted these numbers above, just output the numbers here. If you didn't calculate them above, first calculate them and then output them.

  11. Perform Tukey's HSD (Honest Significant Difference). Write down appropriate null and alterantive hypotheses for each comparison. Which level(s) are different from which? Justify your answer by quoting the appropriate p-values.

  12. Make and interpret a prediction for a gelding's weight.
